Dr. Austen Oviatt brings a unique blend of technical expertise, global training, and a warm, family-oriented approach to our practice. Born and raised in Alberta, Dr. Oviatt developed a strong sense of community and connection early on, which heavily influences his patient-centered philosophy today.

Before pursuing his true calling in oral healthcare, Dr. Oviatt earned a degree in Computer Science. His passion for innovation ultimately led him to the University of Sydney in Australia, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.

As a dedicated lifelong learner, Dr. Oviatt is fascinated by the intersection of technology and modern dentistry. He actively seeks continuing education to stay at the forefront of the field, with a particular interest in advanced digital workflows, 3D printing, and digital smile design. His tech-forward background allows him to provide highly precise, efficient, and predictable care for his patients.

Coming from a large family, Dr. Oviatt has a natural ability to connect with patients of all ages. He especially enjoys pediatric dentistry, taking pride in creating fun, gentle, and positive experiences that set children up for a lifetime of healthy smiles.

Dr. Oviatt and his wife, Alex, are thrilled to call the beautiful Okanagan home. When they aren't taking advantage of the incredible local outdoor lifestyle, you can often find them supporting local arts or exploring everything the region has to offer.
